  1. Saving this to listen to properly later, but I listened to the first few minutes and I’ll just say I applaud your efforts to do this in the heat of the summer! Another blogger I follow from India mentioned the weather there right now (in general) and I can only say…I’m glad I’m not there!

    1. Ha ha! Additionally, it’s election season here, so it’s even more chaotic! Things would get better if it rains, though I’ve read the chances of that are slim even towards the beginning of May.

  2. I am so sorry you are still battling the heat. And I’m quite impressed you sat in a room with the windows shut and no fans on! Be careful!

I must say that your podcast is very inviting. While you are unhappy with the giggling and the familiar speech, I think your listeners might find it endearing. I felt like we were sitting together having a conversation, as opposed to a more stiff presentation that could leave a listener feeling like they’ve sat through a lecture. And again, I love the accent πŸ™‚ I listen for the words you pronounce differently from the way I do.

If we were sitting together having a conversation, it would most definitely be somewhere cool.

    1. Thank you so much, Sourgirl! I’m grateful to be receiving some feedback, as I was highly unsure of this. I did want it to feel like a conversation, instead of a lecture. I try to write my essays conversationally too, though I suppose they turn out to be more structured and formal. I have to say, I was very nervous and very “hot”, so it wasn’t how I’d normally have a conversation. I’d probably talk even “more”, and yes, that is possible with me, so I hope I can relax in future podcasts that have more specific ideas.

As for the accent, maybe I’ll try to pull an American one next time! Just a couple of sentences perhaps!

    1. Thank you! I hope to be more prepared and confident next time. I wasn’t sure of putting up this one, but I thought there was no other way I could do an introduction to this any better. Thank you very much for taking the time to listen to it!
