Alicia Keys promises peace will reign at female-focused Grammys
The Recording Academy™ and CBS have announced that 15-time GRAMMY® Award victor Alicia Keys will host the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards®, marking her first time as master of ceremonies for Music's Biggest Night®. Her first award came way back in 2002, when she snagged the coveted best new artist award, plus song of the year, record of the year, best R&B song, and best female R&B performance for "Fallin'".
Even though Cardi B has a strong chance of winning her first-ever Grammy, the rapper said she is feeling nervous heading into Sunday's show. Keys is a fantastic choice to host the Grammys, given just how many times she's stepped onto the stage as a victor.

"You can never really be so sure", Cardi B told The Associated Press while promoting her new Pepsi "Okurrr" commercial, which will air during the awards telecast.
As for Best New Artist, it comes down to Chloe X Halle, Luke Combs, Greta Van Fleet, H.E.R, Dua Lipa, Margo Price, Bebe Rexha and Jorja Smith. And I've been watching her for, you know, since she was like a little girl and I knew that she was special even then.

Ariana Grande slams Grammys producer
Grande claims she pulled out of performing at the Grammy awards because her "creativity and self expression was stifled " by the producers.
"There's a sense of community that I want to bring to the stage", Keys said.
Producers say this year's show will feature unforgettable musical collaborations. This comes after the controversial ceremony last year where only one woman was nominated for the Album of the Year category and few women walked away with awards. Like, first of all, Diana Ross don't go nowhere for nobody, okay?
The academy has amassed an eclectic list of musicians and actors to present at this year's awards.
This year, the Recording Academy expanded the four major categories from five nominees to eight, allowing for a wider range of artists and genres to be represented.
The music industry's biggest night is on Sunday, when the Grammys honors music's brightest stars at the Staples Center. We are the writers, the executives ... we are the powerhouses - we are it all!
