As Trump returned from the G20 summit of world leaders in Argentina over the weekend, he told reporters aboard Air Force One that a second summit may happen in 'January or February'. He said, "We are getting along very well".

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was due to meet with a top North Korean official in early November, but the meeting was abruptly put off, with North Korea insisting that Washington ease sanctions.

About 30,000 North Koreans have fled to South Korea, mostly traveling via China, since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War.
