As Trump returned from the G20 summit of world leaders in Argentina over the weekend, he told reporters aboard Air Force One that a second summit may happen in 'January or February'. He said, "We are getting along very well".

As reported by the Atlantic, rapidly improving relations between the North and South over the past year are a good indication that the conflict, which has spanned almost 70 years since the initiation of hostilities in 1950 may finally be coming to an end.

He also noted that at some point he will invite Kim Jong-un to the United States.

Trump said earlier in October that his meeting with Kim would be held after the midterm Congressional elections, and the venue of his second meeting with Kim had been narrowed down to "three or four" locations.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was due to meet with a top North Korean official in early November, but the meeting was abruptly put off, with North Korea insisting that Washington ease sanctions.

About 30,000 North Koreans have fled to South Korea, mostly traveling via China, since the end of the 1950-53 Korean War.
