‘2.0’ records two-day box office collections of Rs 109 crore

On the first day, the film grossed around Rs 84 crores worldwide at the ticket window and trade pundits believe it's a terrific start, considering the film released on a Thursday and during a non-festival weekend.

Out of the ₹74 crore, the Hindi version of 2.0 contributed about ₹21 crore, while collections from Tamil Nadu stood at ₹20 crore. The film stars Bollywood mega star Akshay Kumar and Thalaiva Rajinikanth in the lead roles, the movie also features Amy Jackson in the vital role. This brings the film's total collection Hindi to about Rs 38.25 crore, showing a minor drop on day-to-day comparison. The second day figures of 2.0 are out and are shared by trade analyst Taran Aadarsh. The record for the highest opening day collection of Rs 121 crore still remains with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Although the film has declined on Day 2, the biz should gather momentum on Day 3 [Sat] and Day 4 [Sun]... Keeping in mind the fact that it's a dubbed film + advance bookings opened very late, the biz is STRONG. Thu?
