Daredevil is Netflix's longest-running Marvel series, but it has yet to be renewed for another go-around. But more immediately, fans are anxious that Daredevil, which kicked off its third season last Friday, will be the streaming platform's next superhero series to get the ax. It also adds there was an "inability to agree to terms for a third season of the show". One even took a page out of Iron Fist fans' book and created a petition asking Netflix to reverse its decision to ax the show and renew it for a third season. Apparently this led to calls for changes in the creative head of the show, which split Netflix and Marvel along irreconcilable lines - for Luke Cage at least. Netflix doesn't release viewership figures for its content. Iron Fist was canceled last week. Since the shock of both cancelations hit, Marvel fans have rallied behind Luke Cage and Iron Fist to petition the streaming service to resurrect both shows.

While there's more clarity regarding Luke Cage's cancellation, Netflix remained rather mum about why Iron Fist was kicked to the curb.

Of course, this means that Season 2 of The Defenders definitely won't be happening.
