Meghan addressed students at the University of the South Pacific on Wednesday and spoke of her "personal feeling of pride and excitement" when she studied for her degree.

Harry has told his wife to make sure she is getting enough rest during the packed schedule and Meghan missed a couple of engagements on Fraser Island where the terrain is uneven.

"Because when girls are given the right tools to succeed, they can create incredible futures, not only for themselves but also for those around them".

Meghan, 37, graduated with a communications degree from Northwestern University in IL before becoming an actress then marrying Harry earlier this year.

A royal aide said: "She isn't sick, she just had a tiring few days and we were concerned about the roads on the island which are incredibly bumpy and uncomfortable for anyone, let alone a pregnant woman".

She said she was only able to attend university thanks to scholarships, financial aid programs and paid work on campus, but that it was, without question, worth the effort.

Rosemerry Dautei, 35, said Fijians were keen to see the visiting royals.

"You're actually experiencing changing weather patterns, ferocious cyclones and rising sea levels, particularly in Tuvalu and Kiribati". Greeting the crowd with a traditional hello and goodbye, the Duke said: "The Duchess and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during the next two days and celebrating the links and close friendship between Fiji and the United Kingdom".
