According to Microsoft, They're fully customisable to be as diverse as possible and a new avatar store has been added to purchase additional cosmetic items for the avatar. It includes new Avatars for you to use and more extra features. Some of these include powering your console on or off, launch games, capture screenshots, start streaming, and much more.

Starting this week gamers will be able to use Alexa with their Xbox systems and, to celebrate, their newfound friendship, Amazon will be giving away a brand-new Amazon Echo Dot for free with select Xbox bundles. Again, there's a catch: you need to actually have a TV that supports Dolby Vision HDR connected to your Xbox One.

Now that the Xbox One October 2018 update is rolling out, the Xbox team can presumably focus on the next system update for the Xbox One codenamed "19H1" (just like for Windows 10). Naturally, the revamped Xbox Avatars offer deeper levels of customisation and continues the trend of decking out your digital dude with game-specific clothing and items. For example, the same technology is now used by Netflix apps on several compatible TVs, as well as by Apple TV 4K and the Google Chromecast Ultra. There is also an added Australian version of the English language alongside the U.S. and U.K options. Insiders on the Preview Alpha ring will next begin testing the next feature update, codenamed 19H1.
