Microsoft Surface Pro 6 details leaked in an un-boxing video

Today we're going to run down the various different devices and software we're expecting Microsoft to show at their big Surface event on Tuesday.

Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Pro 6 are expected to get a refresh at the event, and they were both expected to both receive USB-C ports, which are pretty much expected at this point.

Based on the latest leak, the Surface Pro 6 will apparently feature a 12.3-inch PixelSense display, 8th generation Intel Core processors, 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

A Surface event is scheduled for today, October 2.

Microsoft is widely expected to launch the Surface Pro 6. The new model will keep the same body and won't get an USB-C port like on the Surface Go or the Surface Book 2, although not everyone agrees. As per a WinFuture report, Microsoft will launch the Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 with some specification bumps.

Microsoft Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2 Leak Tips Specifications and Price Ahead of Launch

A couple of weeks ago, we heard that Microsoft might be bringing back the black color option for its Surface devices at the hardware event taking place tomorrow. The good news is that both devices will be cheaper than before.

In terms of pricing, Microsoft has reportedly lowered the prices of the Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Pro 6.

Since introducing us to the Windows as a Service model, Microsoft has gone from an aggressively ambitious strategy to a more mature one in the past year or so.

Surface Laptop is expected to come with a processor at least as powerful as Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core SoC (1.6 GHz base clock, 3.6 GHz maximum). A price for the Surface Laptop 2 was not leaked alongside. Like the Surface Laptop 2, the device will be available with the consumer version of Windows 10 in S-Mode. Microsoft previously said this Summer that the LTE variant would be available later this year, and the Redmond giant might want to take advantage on the upcoming holiday season to sell more units of its most affordable Surface model.

"In April 2012, Microsoft launched the Surface RT, its sleek black chassis, detachable keyboard and integrated kick stand started a wave of innovation that has no signs of slowing down", Microsoft detailed in a New Zealand invite.
