Samsung Announced The Galaxy Smartwatch LTE Version Available At $380

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is the successor to the Note 8 and early impressions from the initial worldwide unveiling by Samsung last week showed the device to be an iterative update to the Galaxy Note lineup rather than revolutionary. It is powered by a 64-bit Exynos 8895 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. The price of Galaxy Note 9 starts at $999 (approximately equal to Rs.68,700) for the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage.

The new price tag reflects on Samsung India's e-store as well as Amazon India which is offering discounts up to Rs 6,975.

The price revision comes a week before Samsung's new Galaxy Note 9 goes on sale in India. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with 6GB/8GB RAM options. The new S-pen also looks cool with matching colors except for the yellow now which you will get only with the Blue variant of Galaxy Note 9.

The launch sees Samsung Pay available to Absa and Standard Bank customers, supported by Mastercard and Visa payment cards.

The smartphone also features more RAM than before, you can buy an 8GB RAM version which is going to cost you a bit more but worths the money (6GB RAM version is also available to buy).

On Sunday the nation's coast guard said it rescued 60 Europe-bound migrants, including women and children, off the Mediterranean coast.

The smartphone is available in two variants one with 128GB storage and another with 512GB.

Samsung has crammed in a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED HDR display in the old Note 8's form factor. On the optical front, the smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup with the combination of 12-megapixel dual pixel sensor and a 12-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens. The handset is pre-installed with Android 8.1 Oreo. The Note 9 gets 128 gigabytes of storage, double what's in the S9 and Apple's iPhones. Many users disable it as they prefer to use Google Assistant, also supported on the phone, instead of Bixby, as the latter still needs a lot of improvement.

It's also available from the big four carriers, most of which have promos and deals to make the phone cheaper.

As for the frame itself, it uses diamond-cut process and is " sleek and slim, and features an interplay of glossy and matte finishes that complement the Galaxy Note9's premium design cues", quips the world's largest phone maker.
