McGregor could have been sentenced to a spell in jail but struck a plea bargain after pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct.

At McGregor's last court appearance, prosecutors said they were negotiating a plea deal with him and his co-defendant, Cian Cowley, also an Irish fighter.

McGregor was also ordered to pay restitution damages to the bus company for any damages, which has already been paid, as well as complete five days community service and to undergo an anger management program.

McGregor pleaded guilty to a reduced disorderly conduct charge, with prosecutors dropping the two felonies and related charges that he was facing.

Former UFC dual-division champion Conor McGregor was sentenced in a NY courtroom on Thursday for his April attack on a bus full of UFC fighters and staff.

Video showed what appeared to be McGregor hurling a hand truck at a bus full of fighters after a news conference for the UFC 223 event at Brooklyn's Barclays Center in April.

The UFC stripped him of its 155-pound championship belt in April because he had not fought in 17 months.

Nurmagomedov, the current 155-pound champion, was on the bus and said he had to be restrained to keep from fighting McGregor.

An order of protection has been placed against Ray Borg, Jason Ledbetter and Michael Chiesa.
