Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is anxious by the absence of key players from the club's pre-season training camp in the United States. "There is no one to blame; the club is making the effort".

When asked if he expected Sanchez to make it over the Atlantic in time for a pre-season campaign that includes fixtures against Milan, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, Mourinho replied, "I don't know can at least join us later".

Yet Mourinho said: "The pre-season is very bad".

"[Nemanja] Matic, [David] De Gea and Fred will come next week, but I don't have all my players", he added. We think he can start training back in England, not ready for start of the season'.

"I know the club is making the effort but the United States authorities have their processes".

United meanwhile have addressed the midfield and defence in Fred and Diogo Dalot respectively but Michael Carrick and Daley Blind have both departed as well.

"Manchester United wanted to offer Anthony a contract extension and don't want him to leave", Lamboley said last month. "The next five games [of the tour] are all about fitness, but I want to try and prove to the manager that I can be in his team, not just in these games. I've had a good chat with him and I'm looking forward to the season and getting back to my best".
