Chelsea part ways with manager Antonio Conte

Chelsea have signed midfielder Jorginho from Napoli on a five-year deal, with the Italy worldwide becoming new head coach Maurizio Sarri's first recruit, the Premier League side announced on Saturday.

"So I think I was lucky to transport my way of football, my idea of football on the pitch".

"The players have to enjoy themselves". The team will now play in the Europa League.

Sarri signed a three-year contract with the club and has now become the sixth Italian to take charge of the Blues, after the likes of Gianluca Vialli, Claudio Ranieri, Carlo Ancelotti, Roberto Di Matteo and his predecessor, Antonio Conte.

"We've had five wonderful seasons with you in our team, Giorgio", the club said.

Sarri sees possibilities, but with Chelsea playing catch up, City, Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool strengthening and Arsenal under new management, the challenge is greater now.

"In the Premier League there are all the most important coaches in Europe, maybe in the world".

"I am absolutely ecstatic to be here at Chelsea", Jorginho told the Chelsea website.

"It looks like Alvaro Morata's future is in Italy as Juventus and AC Milan have both attracted lots of interest in his next club betting, with the Serie A champions now the favourites to secure the Chelsea forward from his disappointing opening season in the Premier League", said Coral's John Hill.

Conte's side failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League after finishing fifth in the league, and even though the 48-year-old brought home the FA Cup, it was not enough to keep his job.

Having arrived from Naples he quickly made his first signing with Jorginho coming in andhis first game will be next week with a friendly against Perth Glory.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Premier League giants, Chelsea have officially announced the sacking of their Italian manager, Antonio Conte on their social media handle.

Maurizio Sarri said he needs to make "one or two adjustments" before Chelsea will be ready to play his football as he looked forward to going head to head with "the most important coaches in Europe".

If the reports prove to be true, Chelsea would be looking for a 13th permanent boss of Roman Abramovich's ownership, which began in June 2003.
