Deport Without ‘Judges Or Court Cases’

President Donald Trump said on Twitter Sunday that immigrants entering the country illegally should be removed from the country "immediately" without being granted a court hearing.

"We can not allow all of these people to invade our Country", Trump said Sunday on Twitter. "When somebody comes in, we must immediately, with no Judges or Court Cases, bring them back to where to came from". Mr. Trump tweeted Sunday that the US immigration system is "laughed at all over the world" and is "very unfair" to individuals using legal avenues to gain entry.

Trump's tweets come as his administration has been under siege for its recent decision to move forward with a "zero tolerance" enforcement of immigration laws at the U.S. -Mexico border that resulted in an estimated 2,300 children being separated from their parents in detention centers.

About a dozen protesters gathered at the entrance to Trump's club Sunday afternoon as he prepared to leave, including a woman holding a sign that said "Trump Should Be Caged" and a man wrapped in a Mylar blanket. He said he couldn't defend helping the Dreamers "to people waiting in line the right way" to immigrate to the U.S.

Representative Luis Gutierrez, a Democrat from IL, said today that the president's choice of words was being used to gin up his supporters for the mid-terms. The stepped-up rhetoric came after the administration late Saturday announced a series of steps to reunite families that had been separated at the border under a now-abandoned policy. "Immigration must be based on merit".

The House defeated a more conservative immigration alternative last week. At a Las Vegas political rally Saturday, he accused Democrats of backing "weak, weak borders", saying at one point: "I think I got elected largely because we are strong on the border".

"We are doing a far better job than [former President George W.] Bush and [former President Barack] Obama, but we need strength and security at the Border!"

President Donald Trump, who had repeatedly urged Congress to act, did not help Ryan when he suggested in an early-morning tweet that the House was wasting its time by considering either bill. "Don't RESIST", Trump said on Twitter.

Trump once again railed against US immigration laws, calling them a "mockery" to law and order in his tweetstorm. "I don't want judges, I want border patrol, I want ICE". "These are career folks that know where every child is to be able to connect them to their parent or relative", the Oklahoma Republican said on NBC's "Meet the Press".

Outside the House chamber, Rep. Ryan Costello, R-Pa., said Trump's tweet - which may simply reflect a recognition that the conservative bill was doomed anyway - could sway undecided Republicans to vote against the more moderate bill.
