iPhone users will be able to automatically share their location with 911 operators in the event of an emergency. The entire process is automatic and secure, and it's based on Apple technology that has existed for a few years now.

Most 911 calls here and across the country are made from cell phones, but dispatchers don't get detailed information of where you're calling from.
